Argentine Teams Confirm Coaches for Super Rugby Americas 2026

The Head Coaches of Argentine teams have been confirmed for Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026. The SRA 2026 season will see the number of Argentine teams increasing from three to four. The new franchise, Los Capibaras will be the second expansion side in as many years.

Los Capibaras will represent the Litoral region of Argentina; specifically the rugby unions of Rosario, Santa Fe and Entre Rios. Rosario will be the regular home of the team but not the exclusive location for home matches.

The new franchise will be coached by Nicolás Galatro who was Head Coach of Los Dogos from 2023-2025 and Cafeteros Pro in 2022. Los Capibaras will see him returning to where he is well-known for having been the manager at the Litoral High Performance Center.

With Galatro departing Los Dogos, the Head Coach vacancy in Córdoba has been taken by Diego Ghiglione. He comes from Río Cuarto in Córdoba province. He was previously Assistant Coach to Galatro.

The two other franchises see continuation. Former Pumas flankers Juan Manuel Leguizamón and Álvaro Galindo remain on as Head Coaches of Los Pampas and Los Tarucas respectively.
