The final round of the Super Rugby Americas regular season features a winner secures a Home Semi Final match. Top of the table Peñarol play host to Los Pampas who are tied with Los Dogos for second position. Winning the match will also mean a favorable Semi Final as 1st hosts 4th while 2nd hosts 3rd in the Semi Finals.

• Peñarol are top of the table on 38 points. Los Pampas and Los Dogos are tied for 2nd on 36.
• The aforementioned trio are all qualified for the Semi Finals. Selknam, Yacare and Los Tarucas are all chasing the last remaining Semi Finals spot.
• Uruguayan center and National Men’s captain, Andrés Vilaseca has missed the entirety of SRA 2025 after recovering from double knee surgery. He returned to play club rugby last weekend and will make his season debut for Peñarol as a replacement against Los Pampas.
• Peñarol also welcome back Felipe Arcos Pérez following injury.
• Ignacio Inchauspe will start the match out of position at fly half for Los Pampas.
• Los Pampas are coming off back-to-back losses. They fell to Yacare in Asunción and to Selknam in Buenos Aires in their most recent matches.
• Former Wales and Ireland Head Coach, Warren Gatland is presently working with Peñarol’s coaching staff.

The match could go either way. On the one hand, Peñarol are playing at home and are coming off an impressive road win over last year’s champions. On the other hand, Los Pampas won the match between the teams earlier this season. Discipline has been a strong point of Peñarol’s game but the scrum has not. Winning in these two areas looms as pivotal to gaining the upper hand. Peñarol are favorites to win in Montevideo.
