On-field preparations for Rugby World Cup 2027 will see teams competing in warm-up matches ahead of the tournament. The 52-match tournament will be exclusively hosted by Australia in October and November 2027. The twenty-four teams will finalize preparations with a series of matches into September.
All the competitors are in the process of negotiating warm-up matches. In the case of Chile, two opponents have been named: Canada and the USA. In an interview program with Uruguayan expert, Ignacio Chans, Chilean Head Coach Pablo Lemoine confirmed the matches.
Dates and venues for Los Cóndores test matches against Canada and the USA are unknown at this stage. The fixtures will arguably be tougher than Chile’s easiest match at the World Cup.
Chile has been drawn into Pool A for the Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia. Having qualified historically by defeating Samoa, Los Cóndores will face host nation Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. Chile begin in Perth, Western Australia against New Zealand on Saturday, October 02. Game two will be against Hong Kong seven days later in Townsville. Chile will have the honor of facing the home side in their third pool match.
Rugby World Cup 2027 sees Canada returning to the world stage after missing out for the first-time for the previous Men’s Rugby World Cup. Canada will compete in Pool C. They will face Argentina in Brisbane, Fiji in Adelaide and Spain in Townsville on October 04, 10, and 16 respectively.
The USA Eagles will compete in Pool E, opening their campaign against powerhouse France before clashing with Samoa and Japan. The USA will play in Melbourne on October 02, Perth on October 09 and Adelaide on October 15.
