French club Mont de Marsan have signed Chilean prop Vittorio Lastra. The 30-year-old front-rower arrives from Bourg-en-Bresse. The move means that the player will remain in the third tier of French rugby. Mont de Marsan was relegated from the Pro D2 to Nationals at the end of the 2025-2026 season after losing the Access Match against Nice.
Lastra began playing in Chile for Old Mackayans before becoming a professional player. He featured for Selknam as well as playing in Italy for Valsugana, Verona, Rovigo Delta and Colorno. He moved to France in 2025, joining Bourg-en-Bresse.
Capable of playing at both tight head prop and loose head prop, Lastra helped Chile qualify for their inaugural Rugby World Cup in 2023. He has 24 caps for Chile, the first being against Brazil in the opening match of the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) in 2017.
