Chile went scoreless against South Africa in an under 20 contest on Thursday. Played in Cape Town, South Africa, the Junior Springboks converted a 52-0 half-time lead into a 97-0 victory. It came with hat-tricks to Lindsey Jansen and Risima Khosa while Vusi Moyo converted eleven tries for the home side.
The Junior Springboks scored a total of fifteen tries. They impressed with ball in hand but also defensively as Chile had opportunities and did push the defense but could not score in the try zone. Indeed, the Junior Springboks work at the tackle ball area was noteworthy in winning turn-overs.
The match was match of the u20 International Series. It followed an earlier match between Georgia and Fiji in which the Eastern Europeans were 29-23 winners. The second match day will be next Tuesday with Chile facing Georgia and South Africa taking-on Fiji.
