NOTES
  • The round opens with Los Pampas at home against Yacare. The Buenos Aires team has a 6-1 record thus far in SRA 2026. Their one defeat was against Los Dogos, the same team that lost against Yacare a week ago.
  • Yacare are in search of their second win of the season. The Paraguayan team were healthy winners in week seven but enter the new round clouded in doubt due to revelations that the team may fold due to financial reasons.
  • Yacare won the corresponding fixture in Buenos Aires in 2025.
  • A Selknam win over Los Tarucas will boost the Chilean team’s Semi Final prospects.
  • Martín Sigren and Nicolás Garafulic make their returns for Selknam. Both will play as replacements.
  • Matías Orlando moves from outside center to inside center for Los Tucumanos.
  • In a history-making moment, South African Rosko Specman captains Os Cobras in São Paulo.
  • Fellow South Africans Tasriq Mynhardt, Zinedine Booyse and Mogomotsi Mokunyane join Specman in the XV as does Zimbabwean Dion Khumalo.
  • Four Argentines will feature for Os Cobras: Julian Leszczynsk, Facundo Moreno, Santiago Bonavento, and Lautaro Facundo.
  • Los Dogos have opted for a much changed side with rotation being a clear tactic. Giuliano Avaca has a first start at fly half.
  • Peñarol start Ícaro Amarillo out of position at scrum-half. He has test caps at center and at fly half.
  • Canadians Ethan Fryer, James Thiel and Noah Flesch will receive further SRA game-time for Peñarol.
