Trinidad & Tobago Defeat Barbados to book RAN Final vs Mexico

Trinidad & Tobago overcame Barbados on Saturday. Trinidad & Tobago were 29-28 winners over Barbados. The result was wrapped up in the final ten minutes but Barbados scored with time up to lose by a single point. Barbados were awarded a penalty try in the final play of the match.

Played at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago had home advantage in their Rugby Americas North (RAN) Men XV’s Semi Final showdown with Caribbean rivals Barbados.

Victory for Trinidad & Tobago means the Calypso Warriors are officially the RAN South seed. The win over Barbados means that Trinidad & Tobago have booked a trip to Mexico to face Las Serpientes on June 21 for the title.

Sebastian Díaz led Mexico to a home win over Jamaica on May 04. Las Serpientes were 37-22 winners that day at Estadio Tapatio Mendez in Mexico City. Barbados recently notched-up a dominant 45-5 win over Guyana.
