World Cup talent in Chile squad for Pan Am Games

Chile have named four of their World Cup backs in their Men’s squad for the Pan Am Games. Francisco Urroz, Franco Velarde, Benjamín Videla, and Cristóbal Game will suit up as Los Cóndores aim for success on their home turf in Santiago.

Game was a late call-up for France, replacing Nicolás Garafulic after the latter was cruelly ruled out due to injury. Garafulic has now recovered and will get his chance in one of the strongest Cóndores 7s squads in recent years. Talented youngster Diego Warnken will captain the team coached by former Pumas flyhalf Joaquín Todeschini.

Former Cóndores flanker and Men’s 7s coach Edmundo Olfos will take charge of the Women’s selection. The rugby at the Games take place on November 3 and 4 at the Estadio Municipal de La Pintana.
