NOLA re-sign promising front rower Alex Lopeti

NOLA Gold have re-signed Alex Lopeti for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old arrived in The Big Easy earlier this year after training with Austin during the preseason.

Lopeti made the switch from loosehead prop to hooker this year, appearing in four games for the Gold. He then toured Colombia with the USA South Panthers, and is this week returning from Montevideo after playing for the USA Falcons against the Uruguay XV and Argentina XV.

Already signed up  to return in the Gold front row this coming season are looseheads Matt Harmon and Kevin Sullivan, hooker Pat O’Toole, and tighthead Dino Waldren. Another tighthead, Trent Rogers, was selected in the Collegiate Draft. Former LA draft pick Sam Klimkowski, a loosehead, is currently playing for the Gold Academy in the American Rugby Premiership.
