Toronto signs Bristol back row Mitch Eadie

The Toronto Arrows have announced the signing of loose forward Mitch Eadie for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. He makes the move from England, where the 30-year-old made his senior professional debut shortly before his 19th birthday.

Though originally from Bristol, Eadie was a starter for Scotland u20s in 2011 and 2012. He played for Bristol in the RFU Championship and helped them earn promotion to the Premiership in 2016.

The following year Eadie signed a three-year deal with Northampton Saints, returning to Bristol – now called the Bears – in early 2020. Over the past year he has split his time between the Premiership and laon spells with Championship club Hartpury.

Eadie is known primarily as a ball-carrying No8 but is also comfortable on the blindside flank. He effectively takes the roster spot of Tomás de la Vega, who has returned to Argentina after spending the past three seasons with Toronto.
