Two more years for Kyle Ciquera with Free Jacks

Kyle Ciquera has signed a two-year contract extension with the New England Free Jacks. The new deal keeps him at Fort Quincy through at least the 2024 Major League Rugby season, and follows the same agreement signed by outside back Mitch Wilson.

It was a breakthrough year for the 25-year-old loosehead prop. Ciquera made 14 appearances with 10 starts, each greater than the two previous seasons combined. The 2018 Collegiate All-American made the No1 shirt his own after being a second-string player in his first two years as a professional.

A cult figure at the club who is known for his trademark hairstyle, it’s the on-field performance of ‘The Eagle’ that is now attracting attention. Ciquera joins Quentin Newcomer, Foster DeWitt, Mills Sanerivi, Tevita Sole, and newcomers Andrew Quattrin and Ivan Pula in the Free Jacks front row stable for 2023.
