Emiliano Boffelli show sees Edinburgh into final eight

It was the Emiliano Boffelli show on Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Puma scored two tries and a match-total of 21 as Edinburgh defeated Bath 41-19 to advance to the Quarter Finals of the European Challenge Cup.

Boffelli and fellow Argentine Ramiro Moyano were the starting wingers. The former scored tries in the 10th and 62nd minutes. He also landed a 22nd minute penalty and converted four tries. The result for Edinburgh is a Quarter Final against English Premiership side Wasps.

Boffelli has been a master signing for Edinburgh this season. He joined the club from Racing 92 and has scored eight tries in fourteen appearances. He was the starting fullback for Argentina in November 2021 and is well-placed to remain as such for the 2022 international campaign.

Argentina’s first assignment will be a three-match home series against Scotland in July. Boffelli will have the rare opportunity of playin at home against many of his teammates from Edinburgh. The series will be the first with Micheal Cheika as Argentina’s head coach.
