Three more re-sign for Rugby ATL

Rugby ATL have announced the re-signings of three more players for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Back row pair Connor Cook and Ross Deacon will return along with flyhalf Kurt Coleman.

This will be the second season with ATL for Cook, who played his first three MLR campaigns in Colorado with the Raptors. The 30-year-old flanker made 13 appearances for the Ratlers including a dozen starts, with his lineout ability and defensive work rate particularly notable.

Deacon continues to be a dynamic ball carrier from the base of the scrum heading into his third season with ATL. He had previously spent one season each with Austin and New York. The 28-year-old made 15 appearances in 2021 and scored 8 tries, good enough for second on the team.

Coleman missed much of the year after breaking his leg during a preseason intra-squad match. He returned to play the last three games of the regular season and started the Championship Final against LA in the No10 shirt. The South African will celebrate his 32nd birthday at the end of January.
