Rugby ATL mourns loss of owner Marcus Calloway

Rugby ATL is today mourning the loss of Marcus Calloway. The team’s chairman and majority owner has died at the age of 72. He is survived by wife Clea and his three daughters.

Calloway was an attorney who practiced real estate law for nearly 50 years. He founded Calloway Title and Escrow, LLC, in 1997, a prominent commercial title insurance agency that operated well beyond Georgia’s borders, most notably in Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Rugby was a passion of Calloway. Prior to founding Rugby ATL he was a long-time supporter of the Atlanta Renegades division 1 club and served as secretary of Atlanta Renegades Forever, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the sport’s footprint in Atlanta.

Calloway’s personal motto is recognized by the team: “Respect all. Fear none. Expect victory.”
