LA signs Australian pair Brooklyn Hardaker and Tas Smith

The LA Giltinis have signed winger Brooklyn Hardaker and scrumhalf Tas Smith for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Both arrive from Sydney’s Shute Shield competition.

Hardaker, 22, was a teammate of returning forwards Nathan Den Hoedt and Christian Poidevin as well as Giltinis GM Adam Freier at Randwick. He scored nine tries in the 2020 season for the Galloping Greens but missed the 2021 season after suffering a knee injury while playing for the Waratahs 7s side.

Smith is just 20 years old and was included in the USA u20 training squad in 2020. He qualifies for the Eagles having been born in New York. This past year saw him starting for the Sydney University Colts side though he would make his 1st Grade debut as a replacement against Manly.
