Djustice Sears-Duru signs two-year deal with LA

Djustice Sears-Duru is the latest Canadian international to join the LA Giltinis. The 27-year-old prop has signed a two-year deal with the defending Major League Rugby champions, mimicking that of former Toronto Arrows center Ben LeSage. Corey Thomas and DTH van der Merwe are also at the club.

This past year saw Sears-Duru playing 10 games for the Seattle Seawolves, his third season at the club. He then played all eight tests for Canada, six of them starts, to bring his total to 60 international caps since debuting as a 19-year-old against Portugal in 2013.

Sears-Duru is a direct replacement for Jean-Pierre Smith, who has joined the Lions of the United Rugby Championship. The Giltinis have also confirmed the departure of a second specialist loosehead in Blake Rogers though his destination remains unconfirmed.
