Colorno recruit Argentine prop Ramiro Valdes Iribarren

Colorno have recruited Argentine prop Ramiro Valdés Iribarren. The 21-year-old joins following a stint with Zebre as a Medical Joker. His move from Zebre to Colorno sees him now playing in the Italian Top 10 for the 2021-2022 season.

His contract with Zebre was until October 31. He now moves from the United Rugby Championship (URC) to the Top 10. In doing so, Valdés Iribarren will join fellow Argentine players Cristian Bartoloni, Maureo Rebussone and Gregorio del Prete at the club.

Ramiro Valdés Iribarren is a product of Córdoba club La Tablada. He is also a native of Córdoba. Valdés Iribarren is 1.88m tall and weighs 118kg. His natural position is tight-head prop.

Having grown up playing rugby for La Tablada, he caught the eyes of the Córdoba High Performance Center. He captained Córdoba at u16 and u19 levels and played for Argentina u18’s and u20’s. He also spent time in New Zealand playing for Rangitoto College in Auckland and North Harbour u18’s.
