Nicaragua ready for international competitions in El Salvador and Costa Rica

Nicaragua are ready for upcoming international competition. Both the Men’s and Women’s teams will be involved in tournaments in foreign lands. Both tournaments are to be 7’s. They will bring together competing teams from Central America.

The tournaments will resume international competition. There was no possibility of matches in Sevens, Seniors, Juniors, or otherwise in 2020.

Nicaragua’s governing body, the Federación Nicaraguense de Rugby announced a 20-man roster to continue in preparations for the upcoming international competition. The final roster will be smaller as a group of 12 to 14 players will be confirmed to travel to El Salvador.

Nicaragua’s national Women’s team will compete in Costa Rica next month. Nicaragua will be one participant in a two day Rugby Sevens tournament. Like the Men’s tournament, the Women’s is to be a Central American tournament played under the banner of Sudamérica Rugby (SAR). It will take place on September 03 and 04.
