Malon Al-Jiboori signs for Ealing Trailfinders

The Ealing Trailfinders have signed USA back-rower Malon Al-Jiboori. The English club will be the home of the 23-year-old USA Eagle. Al-Jiboori makes the move to Eailing Trailfinders after previously playing Major Leagure Rugby for the San Diego Legion and the Glendale Raptors and Sevens for the Eagles.

Al-Jiboori is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He played American Football in his youth before transfering to rugby at the age of 16. He rapidly progressed through the U.S system. He played for the USA at the 2016 Junior World Trophy in Zimbabwe. That same year saw him on the USA Selects roster for the Americas Pacific Challenge. He earned his first representative start at senior level in the 47-37 win over Canada.

His test debut came in 2018. It was against Chile in the Americas Rugby Championship. He now moves to England with six test caps to his name. His most recent cap was the USA’s final match of RWC 2019. Al-Jiboori started at flanker against Tonga in Osaka, Japan.
