ESPN to broadcast SLAR across Latin America

ESPN is to broadcast the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) across South America. This means that fans in all competing countries as well as non-competing countries from the region will be able to follow all of the matches.

The 2021 SLAR season will begin on Wednesday, March 16. The match schedule is forthcoming. The competition will include six teams. They are Cafeteros Pro (Colombia), Cobras (Brazil), Jaguares XV (Argentina), Olímpia Lions (Paraguay), Peñarol (Uruguay), and Selknam (Chile).

The arrangement between ESPN and SLAR also crosses over into international competition. ESPN will broadcast the South American RWC 2023 qualifiers. Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Paraguay will compete in the first round of the South American qualifiers in June. The top two will advance to the second round.
