Peñarol name provisional domestic roster

Peñarol have named their domestic players for the 2021 Super Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) season. There are 39 Uruguayans, many of whom are capped and established members of Los Teros. There are also places for young players. The balanced roster is preparing for SLAR at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo.

RWC 2019 players include forwards Facundo Gattas, Guillermo Pujadas, Juan Echeverría, Manuel Ardao, Santiago Civetta, Alejandro Nieto; and backs Tomás Inciarte, Felipe Etcheverry, Nicolás Freitas, Andrés Vilaseca, and Rodrigo Silva.

Notable names not included on the roster are Joaquin Jaunsolo, Reinaldo Piussi, Lorenzo Surraco, Leandro Segredo, Alfonso Cat, Ignacio Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Cat, Agustin Della Corte, and Alfonso Costa.

Peñarol’s roster also contains five Argentine players. They are flanker Conrado Roura,  prop Facundo Pomponio, second-rower Nahuel Milan, scrum half Manuel Nogués, and fly half Martín Roger.
