Late Axel Müller try helps Brive to away win over Castres

Brive defeated Castres on Tuesday evening. The Top 14 side’s win featured one try. The scored was Argentine 2016 Olympian Axel Müller. His late try brought Brive back to give them a winning chance. Thomas Laranjeira did the rest. His long-range penalty saw Brive competing a 25-24 win.

Müller was one of three players from the Americas who started the match. The home side featured Canadian captain Tyler Ardron at flanker and Uruguayan Santiago Arata at scrum half. Müller played wing for Brive.

The result takes Brive up to 18 points on the table. Castres have 16 points. Both teams are in danger of relegation. So too are Pau and Montpellier who each have 17 points at present. The bottom placed Agen has just two points.

All Top 14 teams will play again this coming Sunday. Castres will have home advantage against Bayonne while Brive, also at home, take on Lyon.
