ARN Player of the Week – Agustín Creevy

This past week notably saw the return of the Top 14 and Pro D2 in France. It opened the door for new contenders for our weekly selection. Tyler Ardron enjoyed a winning debut, while Benjamín Urdapilleta kicked 16 points in the away win over Agen. Juan Imhoff got his season off to a starting start with a try for Racing in the win over Lyon.

Over in the English Premiership Argentine pair Martín Landajo and Tomás Lavanini had strong outings for Harlequins and Leicester respectively. Meanwhile last week’s choice AJ MacGinty was very nearly a repeat winner after scoring 19 points for Sale in their big win over Tigers.

Oddly enough our choice in the end was on the losing end of two games. London Irish were defeated first by Saracens on Monday and then Gloucester on Saturday, but Agustín Creevy delivered with tries in each of his first two games with the club. The Exiles will be leaning heavily on the former Pumas captain once the new season opens up in November.
