Rugby ATL have unveiled a new logo for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Without an official team nickname since the original team branding, the new design is dubbed the ‘Ratler’ and embraces a popular online fan name – the RATLsnakes.
The new logo was designed by ATL players Chance Wenglewski and Ryan Britain. It features a striking image of a rattlesnake head. In a brief online presentation, the players revealed that the new ATL kit for 2021 will feature scales on the jersey.
Confusingly, however, the official team name remains Rugby ATL. A complete re-brand to ‘Atlanta Rattlers’ might have been more appropriate to accompany the new logo.
There is already official gear featuring the new logo available at the Rugby ATL online shop. Two shirts feature the black version of the logo, with a gray version available on a trucker hat.
