Caíque Silva to play in Portugal

Brazilian test prop Caíque Silva is to play in Portugal. The 27-year-old will join CDUL for the 2020-2021 season, doing so from Corinthians. The move means that the loose head prop departs São Paulo and the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR).

Silva was one of three loose head props on Corinthians’ player roster for the 2020 SLAR season. He joined fellow 27-year-old Lucas Abud and 22-year-old Leonel Moreno. Abud has been a regular for Brazil with 40 caps to his name, Silva has 24, while Moreno is uncapped.

Standing at 1.90m (6’3″) tall and weighing 123kg (270lbs), Silva is a big player. He is noted for his work on defense and in the scrum.
