Harry Bennett extends Rugby United New York contract

Rugby United New York has announced the re-signing of flyhalf Harry Bennett for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 30-year-old Australian has been with the team since their inception, having previously played for the Sacramento Express in the now-defunct PRO Rugby.

Injury limited Bennett to eight appearances during the 2019 season but he was used as a replacement in all five matches of the shortened 2020 campaign. A recognized goal-kicker, he has shown his versatility by covering center, wing, and fullback.

Bennett is a popular member of the squad off the pitch who produces his own podcast featuring others MLR players, The Rugby Player Podcast. When not training with RUNY he coaches at Fordham Preparatory School alongside teammate Alex MacDonald.
