Will Magie signs two-year Austin extension

US Eagles flyhalf Will Magie has extended his stay in Austin through the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old arrived at the club earlier this year after departing London Scottish, whom he joined following Rugby World Cup 2019.

Unfortunately for Magie the COVID-19 pandemic restricted him to just a single appearance for the Gilgronis before the 2020 season was suspended. He is already well acquainted with MLR, however, having scored 130 points across two seasons with the Glendale Raptors.

Magie is the 7th player to re-sign with Austin in the off-season and and 10th player overall confirmed including new signing Cam Dodson and draft picks Mason Koch and Lui Sitama. Also expected to return is Tonga World Cup flyhalf Kurt Morath.
