Memorable Americas Tries – Rod Snow vs Namibia 1999

Canadian prop Rod Snow ran in against Namibia in RWC 1999. His try saw him catching out flanker Sean Furter with a dummy pass. The try was part of what was Canada’s most impressive scoreline in a Rugby World Cup match.

Canada scored 72 points against the Africans. Fly half Gareth Rees kicked 12 goals from 12 attempts in the match. Both he and Snow enjoyed notable careers playing abroad. At RWC 1999 Canada was pooled with France, Fiji, and Namibia.
