Major League Rugby set to hold Rugby20 tourney

Major League Rugby has suspended on-field operations but is taking an innovative approach to the Corononavirus (COVID-19) shutdown. The league has confirmed that they will launch a ‘virtual competition’ featuring MLR players playing the Rugby20 video game on Twitch.

Select players will represent their MLR teams in head-to-head battles that will stream live online on the popular gaming streaming service. Funds generated from the endeavor will go to local charities to help fight the pandemic. The full schedule and details for the tournament are still to be confirmed.
