Three more Jaguares join Los Cebos

Ahead of the start of the Super Liga Americana e Rugby (SLAR) Los Ceibos have gained three more Jaguares players. The Argentine SLAR side has welcomed Ignacio Calas (second-row), Tomás Albornoz (fly half) and Mateo Carreras (wing).

Of them Albornoz made his Super Rugby debut this past Saturday against the Reds in Buenos Aires. He did so from the bench, replacing Domingo Miotti. Not involved was Joaquin Díaz Bonilla who is set to return to action in the coming matches which see Los Jaguares playing three straight matches in South Africa.

As of this week Los Ceibos are no longer training in Buenos Aires. The Córdoba based side is now training at their home facilities. They are preparing for their opening match of the SLAR against the Olímpia Lions on March 06.

The trio of Ignacio Calas, Tomás Albornoz and Mateo Carreras are wider roster options for Los Jaguares, although all are certain to feature at some point. Albornoz’s debut is not to be his only involvement and, as the rules, state players can be called up by Gonzalo Quesada at any time.
