Two Canadians named in Hamilton Dream Team

Two Canadians have been rewarded with selection to the official HSBC Dream Team for the Hamilton Sevens. The finalists contribute Kayla Moleschi and Britt Benn, both versatile players who have been selected as forwards following Canada’s second-place finish.

Moleschi, more often seen at halfback, has been seeing time at hooker this season with her aggressive ball-hunting and high work rate causing problems for defenders. This is her first Dream Team selection of the season. Meanwhile it’s three in a row for Benn, her second as a forward having been given the nod as a back in Dubai.

There is no place for Canadian captain Ghislaine Landry, whose 43 points were second only to try-scoring leaders Michaela Blyde and Stacey Fluhler, both of whom are included. A third strike runner is named in Australia star Ellia Green. Two players from third-place France round out the team – Shannon Izar and Camille Grassineau.
