A Brazilian Referee for Major League Rugby

There is to be a Brazilian referee involved in the 2020 Major League Rugby (MLR) season. The leading official from Brazil, Henrique Platais will take control of matches in the upcoming season.

From Rio de Janeiro, the 32-year-old Platais went from playing rugby to officiating at a young age. He proved to be competent quickly and went on to referee international matches, including games as a part of the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC).

Currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Platais will benefit MLR and the competition will benefit the Brazilian.
