Paul Lasike scores first Premiership try

The USA Eagles’ rampaging mid-fielder, Paul Lasike scored his first try in the English Premiership. The 29-year-old did so for the Harlequins in Saturday’s match against the Leicester Tigers at London’s Twickenham Stadium.

Lasike was a first half try scorer in what was a drawn match. The Harlequins had been in control only for the Leicester Tigers replacements to give them an edge at the scrum, from which they won penalties. Involved in this area was Argentine Facundo Gigena. The uncapped loose head played just 10 minutes though impressed.

Also involved was Tomás Lavanini. In his 8th match for the Tigers since RWC 2019, Lavanini again delivered a complete performance. His style of play is proving to be well-suited to the Tigers’ game plan.
