Miotti Nominated for Currie Cup First Division Player of the Year

Domingo Miotti has been nominated for the Currie Cup First Division Player of the Year award. He joins South Africans Cody-Anthony Basson (Griffons), Athenkosi Mayinje (EP Elephants), and Robbie Petzer (Griffons) in being short-listed for the award.

Miotti was the starting Jaguares XV fly half in the 2019 Currie Cup First Division. The Argentine side was unbeaten in the competition with Miotti playing six matches for a return of 104 points.

Earlier in 2019 Miotti played Super Rugby for Los Jaguares. He was the second-choice fly half to Joaquín Díaz Bonilla. Indications are that this will change for 2020 with Miotti favored to be the top choice for the pivotal position.

From Tucumán, Miotti is a product of PladAR. He went through the domestic academy program to play for the Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship. He is yet to be capped by Argentina though this is expected to change in 2020.
