Matt Beukeboom Set for Montauban Debut

Matt Beukeboom is set to debut for Montauban. The Canadian second-rower has been named at flanker for the club’s Pro D2 match today against Valence Romans.

The Canadian international joined the French Pro D2 side from the Pau academy this season. He did so after having spent three seasons with Pau. His move has quickly proven to provide him with greater opportunities for game time.

He is the younger brother of Brett Beukeboom, a player to have been in the frame for RWC 2019 selection only to miss out on a place in the final roster of 31 players. Like his brother, Matt Beukeboom is capped by Canada. He earned three caps in the 2017 Americas Rugby Championship.
