Jaguares Sign Mateo Carreras On Long Term Deal

Los Jaguares have confirmed the signing of Mateo Carreras. The 19-year-old Argentina u20s and Sevens player is the third new recruit for the 2020 Super Rugby season following Joel Sclavi, and Bautista Pedemonte.

From the northern Argentine city of Tucumán, Mateo Carreras is not related to RWC 2019 roster member Santiago Carreras. He is, however, a player from the same position and a highly promising talent at either wing or fullback.

In addition to Mateo Carreras, and Santiago Carreras Los Jaguares also have Emiliano Boffelli, Sebastián Cancelliere, Bautista Delguy, Juan Cruz Mallia, Matías Moroni, Ramiro Moyano, and Joaquín Tuculet on the roster.

Mateo Carreras’ contract is a four-year deal. Beginning in January it will see him available for the UAR for all activities until after RWC 2023.
