Ryan Burroughs commits to 2020 for Old Glory

Old Glory DC have secured another returning player for their debut season in Major League Rugby. Hard-running winger Ryan Burroughs has committed to the team for the 2020 season, following in the footsteps of team captain and No8 Josh Brown.

Burroughs, 27, started three of the four spring exhibition matches for the Washington DC side, forming a potent attacking duo with opposite winger Vetekina Malafu. He showed good balance and finishing ability, with his upper body strength making him difficult to bring down in one-on-one situations.

The US Army veteran is a rugby league international with the USA Hawks, part of the 2017 World Cup squad. He has previously played professionally for the Toronto Wolfpack, London Skolars, and Barrow Raiders. He turned out for Northern Virginia (NOVA) in his switch to union before joining up with DC.
