NOLA re-sign prop Kevin Sullivan

Collegiate All-American prop Kevin Sullivan has signed a new two-year contract with the NOLA Gold. The 24-year-old is the 13th player confirmed by the club for the 2020 Major League Rugby season, the 10th to sign an extension in recent weeks. More are expected to be announced shortly.

A product of the highly esteemed Cal Golden Bears program, Sullivan was a mainstay in the match day squad during his first year with the Gold in 2019. He appeared in 12 games, acting as understudy to Canadian international Hubert Buydens. Primarily a loosehead specialist, Sullivan stepped in to play tighthead on two occasions late in the season.

After narrowly missing out on the playoffs, New Orleans are steadily building towards the 2020 season and beyond by signing their core group of players on multi-year contracts. There have been two new additions in the off-season thus far – both versatile backs. Carl Meyer arrives from Wales with former Brumbies starter Robbie Coleman joining from Australia.
