Historic First Match For Bolivia

International competition is officially off the ground involving Los Colorados. An historic first match for Bolivia took place on Friday against a developmental side from the northern Argentine province of Salta.

Playing in red uniforms to combine with the team name, the Bolivians were the home side against Salta. The match was played in Yacuiba, a border town on the Bolivian side of the Bolivia-Argentina border. Salta is located 400km to the south.

Salta, or Los Mayuatos, were 40-0 winners over Bolivia in the historic first match for the country. Also competing were the respective next of XV’s, The winner was Los Mayuatos’ ‘A’ side who completed a 36-21 victory.

The Federación Boliviana de Rugby (FBR) is an associate member of Sudamérica Rugby. It was founded on May 02 2009 and is based in Yacuiba.
