Host City Shizuoka Is Ready for RWC 2019

Host city Shizuoka is ready for RWC 2019.  Japanese city has been allocated four pool matches, including one featuring the host country.

Growth of Shizuoka has seen the city now officially the second largest in Japan both in terms of size, and population. Those visiting for matches will have the unique experience of a look to the nearby Mount Fuji.

Shizuoka will host its first RWC 2019 match on September 28. With Japan involved it is to be no common fixture. To the contrary it is a significant game with the Japanese playing host to the top seeds from their pool, Ireland.

Game two at Shizuoka will be the following weekend. Japan’s RWC 2015 opponents, South Africa will be up against Italy. Based on the result from that unforgettable match in Brighton, UK it is to be a match like no other for those from the local area.

The third match at Shizuoka will be seven days after the second. It is to be on Friday October 09 with Japan’s pool opponents Russia, and Scotland facing-off.

The final fixture allocated to Shizuoka will be on the last day of pool play. It is to be on Sunday October 11  and will be a Pool D match between Australia, and Georgia.
