MLR Full Match – Toronto Arrows vs Glendale Raptors

The Toronto Arrows played host to the Glendale Raptors at their downtown venue of Lamport Stadium on Sunday. More than 2,700 fans showed up to take in the festivities and they were treated to an exciting game between two familiar foes.

Toronto had won five games in a row entering the match, and after a bye week put their strongest available side on the pitch. That included two Uruguayan backs, Leandro Leivas and Gastón Mieres, who took the field alongside eight Canadian internationals in the run-on side.

Glendale were on the brink of elimination from the playoffs, a desperate situation for last season’s Finalists. Five Eagles were in the starting lineup while the team also featured New Zealand imports Murphy Taramai and Dylan Taikato-Simpson.
