Rugby Expands Frontiers In Nación Tecla

The recent Nación Tecla Rugby Sevens event saw the sport continuing its expansion. Played in San Salvador last weekend Belize, Guatemala, and the home country of El Salvador competed in an international competition in which Belize play their first matches abroad.

The Nación Tecla Rugby Sevens had both men’s and women’s competition, both of which were won by Guatemala. Competing in the men’s were Guatemala, Belize, and two teams from El Salvador –  El Salvador ‘A’, and El Salvador ‘B’.

In the women’s division there were three teams from El Salvador – El Salvador, El Salvador ‘B’, and El Salvador Juniors. They were joined by Guatemala who won the competition to make it a national double as Guatemala were also champions in the men’s division.
