The Houston SaberCats played host to Rugby United New York in the first of three Major League Rugby matches on Saturday evening. It was the only game unaffected by the weather and the first ever meeting between the two sides with both entering the game coming off a loss.
Houston welcomed back star winger Josua Vici, who teamed up with fellow Fiji Sevens rep Osea Kolinisau for the first time this season. They also handed a club debut to new signing Chad Joseph. New York had Dylan Fawsitt back from Eagles duty and restored Ben Foden to his usual fullback position.
