Pro D2 – Week 13 Preview

The Pro D2 resumes this evening. Week 13 of the French second division sees a full round of 8 league matches played from Thursday to Sunday. Involved are a number of players from the Americas.

On Friday former Puma Gonzalo Quesada will be looking for a home win from Biarritz. The Head Coach has named Leandro Mario Assi among his replacements. Former Jaguar Segundo Tuculet will feature from the opposition bench.

Continuing to get regular game time, Joël Antonio Sclavi starts at prop for Charente. His side goes into their match against Carcassonne with home advantage. Defending the colors of the visitors will be fellow Argentine Demian Panizzo. He will cover second-row from the bench.

On the Mediterranean coast Béziers welcome Dax. In what is to be bitter-sweet for Uruguayans Felipe Berchesi will feature for Dax, doing so as a replacement. He has missed out on playing for Uruguay in the ongoing November Internationals despite being his country’s best fly half.

Two teams to have started strongly also meet on Friday. Montauban enter as favorites against Nevers. The visitors have named former Puma Horacio San martín to start in the mid-field.

The team arguably best positioned to win promotion is Grenoble. Their opponents on Friday are to be Colomiers. Veteran Argentine hooker Agustín Costa Repetto starts the match for the visitors.

The final fixture is to be a Sunday match. Bayonne are to be on the road against Mont de Marsan.
