Chile ready for Canada at u20 Trophy

Two teams in search of their first win at the World Rugby u20 Trophy will go head-to-head in the final pool match on Wednesday when Chile face Canada. While the Chileans are yet to register a victory, they did take two bonus points in defeat as they ran Japan very close in their opening match, doing the same to Namibia on Saturday until running out of gas in the second half.

The Estadio Domingo Burgueño in Punta del Este will be the venue as the tournament takes a break from Montevideo. At stake is a spot in the 5th-place final, with the loser condemned to fighting it out with a team to be determined to avoid the Wooden Spoon.

To energize the team Bernard Charreyre has made a host of changes to the side. Benjamín Jeria and Javier Carrasco come into the front row and there is a new second row pairing in Carlos Oyarzún and Nicolás Garafulic. Vicente Huete is recalled on the flank at the expense of Vicente Contreras.

José Escobedo gets his first start of the competition at scrumhalf in one of only two changes to the backs. The other sees Diego Salas given a run on the wing in place of Santiago Gana.

Kickoff is set for a 11:30am local, 10:30am Eastern. A live stream will be provided by World Rugby.
