One new cap for Teros in Nations Cup

Uruguay have named one new name in their 28-man squad for the World Rugby Nations Cup. National u20 captain Agustin Della Corte is added and looks set to win his first cap in the coming weeks as a replacement for the injured Nicolás Freitas. Della Corte was part of last year’s World Rugby u20 Trophy squad and is expected to lead the Teritos in this year’s tournament, due to be held in Montevideo starting on August 29.

Otherwise the squad remains identical to the one that finished on top of the South American ‘A’ Championship and advanced to the Americas 2 World Cup Qualifying series set to be played next year against either Canada or the USA. Included are all four overseas-based professionals that took part in the win over Chile. Italy-based flanker Franco Lamanna and France residents Manuel Leindekar, Agustín Ormaechea, and Felipe Berchesi will continue in Uruguay colors for the duration of the tournament.
