Brazil Women’s 7s Named for European Tour

The Brazilian Women’s 7’s roster has been named for the upcoming European Tour. Brazil will train and play in both France and England as part of the final stages of preparation ahead of Rio 2016.

The training regime will begin in Paris this coming Friday. The three day session will be from May 13-15, coinciding with the Paris Sevens, the penultimate leg of the 2015-2016 World Sevens circuit.

In Paris the Brazilian women are to train at the FFR’s High Performance Center in Marcoussis. On Friday they are to play matches against South Africa and France B. On Saturday Brazil will face France A and face South Africa for a second time. Friday’s fixtures will be repeated on Sunday.

Of the 14 selected athletes just seven played for the Chris Neill coached side at the Canada Sevens. They are: Edna Santini, Raquel Kocchan (pictured), Taís Balconi, Haline Leme Scatrut, Júlia Abino Sardá, Juliana Michele Carneiro and Luiza Campos.
