O’Leary named Denver PRO head coach

Shortly following the confirmation of Denver as the fifth and final franchise for its inaugural season, PRO Rugby has announced that Sean O’Leary will be Head Coach. The former Junior All-American coach becomes the second Ireland native to be appointed to a leading PRO role, with Ray Egan previously named to run the rule over the San Diego franchise.

O’Leary has been the Director of Rugby at the University of Notre Dame since 2007, joining after a four year term with Northeastern. He was an Assistant Coach with USA u19 from 2002 to 2005, and Head Coach of the national u17 program immediately following from 2005 to 2008. He will now make the long move from South Bend to Denver, located more than 1000 miles to the west.
