Looking to back-up from an opening round win over Tonga Georgia will take-on Argentina on Friday with an unchanged lineup. Head Coach Milton Haig now has his sights on bigger things with a win all but securing a first ever Quarter Final’s appearance for Georgia.
Reaching the knock-out stage, though, will require a win over Argentina, a side that Georgia is yet to defeat in three previous attempts. The South Americans will be looking to rebound from a hard-fought loss against New Zealand on Sunday where the gave the world’s number one a scare.
Named at fullback for Georgia is Merab Kvirikashvili who has played in all previous 13 Rugby World Cup matches for the Lelos. Fellow veteran Mamuka Gorgodze will captain the team from the back of the scrum.
