Colombia’s International Rugby Playing Husband and Wife

Colombian internationals Sebastián Mejía and Solange Delgado are featured in this week’s edition of Total Rugby. The players are not only two of Colombia’s leading players but are also married. Having met in 2009 the rugby players were involved in the same tournaments and subsequently fell in love.

Delgado is to play in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. She was involved in the recent CONSUR qualifying series in Santa Fé, Argentina in which Colombia fought off all opposition including the home nation. The Colombian men will not participate but continue to progress at senior level in CONSUR B.
